This documentary, exhibited in the IndieLisboa2019 and Olhares do Mediterrâneo festivals, in several cinemas and in the RTP television channel depicts the Ramadan celebrations by the Muslim populations living in Portugal and more specifically in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon.
The documentary “Ramadão em Lisboa depicts the celebrations that take place during the month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, marked by the practice of fasting from sunrise to sunset) by the Muslim populations living in Portugal and more specifically in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon.
The film portrays multiple experiences and accounts for the diversity of practices, perspectives, actors, ingredients and rituals during this festival.
