The exhibition «A Baleia em Atouguia» is conceived from narratives about human and non-human historical realities, highlighting the material and symbolic value of the whale and its contribution in the construction of the territory, and remains open to the public on Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Interpretative Center of Atouguia da Baleia.
The historical research was carried out, together with the Municipality of Peniche, by researchers Cristina Brito and Nina Vieira, within the scope of the ERC 4-OCEANS project. This permanent exhibition includes the exhibition of the work «BALEIA DESMINKE», by the artist Sea Groove.
