There is always a SESSION 0, not always advertised and almost always unexpected. Here we experiment. Here we doubt. We discuss in the form of continuous study. Here, we try to build with cardboard boxes the free invention of time, of school time. Above all, recess as a space of freedom.

Inspired by the JA – Janela para o Arquivo (Window to the Archive) section, we are launching this exhibition, entitled CINENOVA, JA! We evoke both the urgency of making contemporary cinema made by young students in a university context visible, and its inscription in a history in the making, made up of living archives, shared experiences, and dialogues between generations and different university contexts. An exhibition that privileges the intersections between cinema, thought, and formal experimentation.
