As part of the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Danish Government has created the exhibition “Defending Democracy,” which invites reflection on the importance of protecting and strengthening democratic values.
The exhibition takes as its starting point real stories of Danish collaboration and efforts to support Ukraine, particularly in the Mykolaiv region, combining personal testimonies, images, and concrete data on Denmark’s role in promoting democracy, human rights, and global security.
More than an exhibition, “Defending Democracy” is a call to action—a space that highlights how international cooperation and commitment to shared values can make a difference in times of conflict and uncertainty.
The initiative is promoted by the Danish Embassy, which invited Nova SBE to host this exhibition on campus, in partnership with the Ukrainian Embassy, reinforcing the role of academia as a place for dialogue, reflection, and active citizenship.
