The highly specialised teaching at Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana is recognised for the excellence of its students, both in individual work and in youth orchestras, which are a pillar of this school.
The curriculum responds to the challenges currently facing arts education, with official study plans, under the legislation in force for Specialised Music Education, which are eminently practical and adapted to different age groups: children, young people and adults.
In addition to individual lessons, students have ensemble and orchestra practice from the beginning of the various courses. Depending on the age groups and level of the performers, there is Piccola Orquestra and Orquestra Juvenil, among other groups.
Throughout their training, they also benefit from the natural proximity to the other schools in the Metropolitan project, Escola Profissional da Metropolitana and Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, as well as Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa itself.
